How Does Electrolysis Work?
There are three types of electrolysis hair removal: galvanic electrolysis, thermolysis, and blend electrolysis, which combines the prior two. Thermolysis uses an oscillating current to generate heat. The effect is to coagulate the papilla (blood supply) to prevent it from feeding the bulb. This prevents the follicle from producing more hairs.
The blend method is the combination and simultaneous use of galvanic and thermolysis techniques. This combination method incorporates the high kill rate associated with the galvanic method along with the speed found in thermolysis. It is especially useful in treating deep, coarse hair follicles.
